{"id":5106,"date":"2016-09-09T11:56:31","date_gmt":"2016-09-09T15:56:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/tv-asahi-to-present-pair-of-formats-at-mipcom\/"},"modified":"2016-09-09T12:23:18","modified_gmt":"2016-09-09T16:23:18","slug":"tv-asahi-unveils-mipcom-2016-highlights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/tv-asahi-unveils-mipcom-2016-highlights\/","title":{"rendered":"TV Asahi Unveils MIPCOM 2016 Highlights"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TOKYO: Japanese media company and broadcaster TV Asahi is slated to showcase the new formats <em>Hide-and-Seek with Drones<\/em> and <em>Pentagon Derby<\/em> at next month&#8217;s market.<\/p>\n<p><em>Hide-and-Seek with Drones<\/em> is a game show in which challengers must hunt for hidden treasure while escaping drones that are trying to ambush them. <em>Pentagon Derby<\/em> looks on as five people\u00a0sit in a pentagon and test their knowledge of each other.<\/p>\n<p>TV Asahi is also presenting <em>Ranking the Stars<\/em>, a talk-show format; <em>Beat the Champions<\/em>, a sports-entertainment format; and <em>31-Legged Race<\/em>, a running competition for kids. Other highlights include the\u00a0fourth season of the medical drama\u00a0<span style=\"line-height: 1.5\"><em>Doctor-X<\/em>; the fourth season of the new version of <em>Ninja Hattori<\/em>; and the hit animations <em>Doraemon<\/em> and <em>Shin chan<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Yuka Kakui, TV Asahi&#8217;s head of format development and sales, said:\u00a0\u201cTV Asahi\u2019s entertainment programs are compellingly unique and achieve high audience ratings in Japan.
