{"id":4884,"date":"2016-04-06T02:00:28","date_gmt":"2016-04-06T06:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/worldscreen.com\/"},"modified":"2016-04-06T02:15:02","modified_gmt":"2016-04-06T06:15:02","slug":"keshets-boom-to-get-italian-treatment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/keshets-boom-to-get-italian-treatment\/","title":{"rendered":"Keshet&#8217;s BOOM! to Get Italian Treatment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CANNES: Keshet International&#8217;s suspense-filled game show <em>BOOM!<\/em> has been licensed by Endemol Shine Italy and will be produced for the Discovery Group&#8217;s NOVE channel.<\/p>\n<p>A season of hour-long episodes will head into production soon for daily broadcast in an access prime slot starting in the fall. <em>BOOM!<\/em> was created by Keshet, Ido Rosenblum and July August Productions.\u00a0The format has aired in a number of countries, including Spain, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Chile, Uruguay and the U.S.\u00a0More than 500 episodes have been commissioned around the world to date.<\/p>\n<p>Laura Carafoli, the senior VP of programming and content for Discovery Italy, said: \u201c<em>BOOM!<\/em> is a great opportunity for us and for the new soul of channel NOVE. With this format, and thanks to our partners Keshet International and Endemol Shine, we want to bring Discovery\u2019s DNA and creativity into the Italian general-entertainment TV.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Orsetta Violante Balsamo, the head of acquisitions and international at Endemol Shine Italy, noted: \u201cWe\u2019re excited to announce <em>BOOM!<\/em>\u2019s commission in Italy and believe it matches Italian viewers&#8217; appetite for fresh, fun, lighthearted game shows perfectly.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Keren Shahar, the managing director of distribution at Keshet International, added: \u201cI\u2019m delighted to place <em>BOOM!<\/em> in the safe hands of our creative partners at Endemol Shine Italia and Discovery Italia and to see the show airing in another major European market.
