{"id":4830,"date":"2016-03-24T11:20:19","date_gmt":"2016-03-24T15:20:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/miptv-spotlight-pol-ka-producciones\/"},"modified":"2016-03-24T11:20:51","modified_gmt":"2016-03-24T15:20:51","slug":"miptv-spotlight-pol-ka-producciones","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/miptv-spotlight-pol-ka-producciones\/","title":{"rendered":"MIPTV Spotlight: Pol-ka Producciones"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CANNES: <em>Killer Women<\/em>, a Pol-ka Producciones title distributed by MediaBiz, has been selling as a format worldwide for a decade.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s based on real stories of everyday women who for some reason decided to kill their partner,\u201d says Alex Lagomarsino, the CEO of MediaBiz. \u201cThe way the stories are told has been key to the success of the show.\u201d According to Lagomarsino, the scripts can be adapted to fit local tastes and can be tweaked to showcase local criminal cases. \u201cThat happened in Italy,\u201d Lagomarsino says. \u201cThey took one or two cases that happened in Italy and incorporated them into the series.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At MIPTV, MediaBiz is also offering scripted fare such as <em>Los Ricos No Piden Permiso<\/em>, <em>Cunning Girls<\/em> and the thriller <em>Signs<\/em>. \u201cPol-ka is one of the main producers in Latin America.
