LONDON: Beyond Distribution is launching the new daytime culinary series Too Many Cooks<\/em>, for which it has secured finished and format rights, at MIPTV.<\/p>\n

Too Many Cooks<\/em> is produced by True North for Channel 4. It follows three amateur cooking couples as they compete to feed demanding party hosts for cash. At the end of the week, after the cooks have catered five very different parties, the winners receive the money they have earned.<\/p>\n

Caitlin Meek O\u2019Conner, the head of acquisitions at Beyond Distribution, commented: \u201cWe are launching more U.K. content at MIPTV and are keen to work with more U.K. producers on the global market. I\u2019m so pleased to be working with True North again to launch Too Many Cooks<\/em>, which I believe has strong global potential.\u201d<\/p>\n

Marc Allen, the managing director at True North, added: \u201cThere is a huge amount of interest in this show and we\u2019re thrilled to be able to partner with Beyond to bring it to market. Too Many Cooks<\/em> is an original and refreshing take on a popular and competitive genre and we are positive it will enjoy a lot of success internationally.”<\/p>\n

Beyond Distribution is also showcasing the hour-long documentary The Other Prince William<\/em>, about the Queen\u2019s playboy cousin, produced by Doubleband Films for Channel 4. The company\u2019s slate also includes the 10×30-minute series Ice Stars<\/em>, which follows the hectic lives of young skaters. It is produced by Drummer TV for CBBC. Quarx<\/em>, meanwhile, is about three teens with superpowers and is produced by Jasper James’s Screen Glue for Curiosity Stream.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
