LONDON: At this year’s MIPTV, ITV Studios plans to present a variety of new and returning entertainment, factual-entertainment, game and quiz show formats, including a new take on the international hit Come Dine with Me<\/em>.<\/p>\n Come Dine: Champion of Champions<\/em> puts a new spin on the popular format Come Dine with Me<\/em>, which has been produced in nearly 40 territories around the globe. The show, produced by Shiver for Channel 4, sees former Come Dine with Me<\/em> contestants compete in a series of cooking challenges and judged by mystery guests. There is also\u00a0Drive<\/em>, a new driving competition\u00a0with celebrities that is\u00a0produced for ITV by Twofour.<\/p>\n Other format highlights include One Hundred and Eighty<\/em> (ITV Studios for Sky One), in which\u00a0professional dart players team up with skilled members of the public for the chance to win a cash prize; It’s Not Rocket Science<\/em> (ITV Studios for ITV), a fast-paced, informative entertainment series hosted by well known comedians; Insert Name Here<\/em> (12 Yard and Blackdog Television for BBC2), focused on people from the past and present who have the same name; Think Tank<\/em> (12 Yard for BBC One), a quiz show featuring a regular cast of contributors; and The Nation’s Spending Secrets<\/em> (The Garden for BBC One), which uncovers the secret spending habits of a country.<\/p>\n There are also the Pissed Off<\/em> follow-up Test Your Love<\/em> (ITV Studios Nordic for YLE), which gives the audience the chance to closely examine their relationships alongside celebrity couples; How to Lose Weight Well<\/em> (Little Gem for Channel 4), in which experts help people test various diets; Should Have Seen A…<\/em> (Little Gem for Channel 4), spotlighting individuals\u00a0who have never seen a doctor or dentist; Secret Dates<\/em> (Crook Productions for ITV2), in which a single person is nominated by their friends to unknowingly “date” four potential suitors over a week; Lunchbox<\/em> (Shiver for ITV), following three home cooks as they compete to prepare meals from identical boxes of mystery ingredients; and Survival School<\/em> (Potato for CITV), in which ten children learn how to survive in the wilderness.<\/p>\n Mike Beale, the executive VP of global development and formats at ITV Studios, commented: \u201cITV Studios is unique in offering a slate of new formats across a variety of genres and new twists on existing favorites, as well as boasting an extensive portfolio of tried-and-tested international formats suitable for a range of slots and platforms.
