Sunday, February 22, will serve as a buyers-focused day, with The WIT\u2019s CEO Virginia Mouseler highlighting emerging breakout formats in the Fresh TV sesssion, as well as exclusive presentations about the latest format trends from Ampere Analysis and Glance.<\/p>\n
Talpa Studios will host a main-stage multi-format presentation on February 23 at the IET London\u2019s Kelvin Theatre. The presesntaiton will explore how formats can be developed and produced more efficiently while cutting through a crowded, multi-platform market. The studio will present a slate of its proven formats, alongside one exclusive first look. Talpa Studios\u2019 Jasper Hoogendoorn, chief creative officer, and Sebastian van Barneveld, director of global distribution, will share their insights.<\/p>\n
Global Agency will be premiering its new musical competition format The Mashup on February 23 in the IET\u2019s Turing Theatre, with founder and CEO Izzet Pinto leading the presentation.<\/p>\n
Three showcases spotlighting the next wave of Korean IP wll take place on February 22. KOCCA will be presenting eight original works from four leading Korean creators and studios.<\/p>\n
A scripted-focused presentation from CJ ENM and Fifth Season on February 22 will explore the drivers behind the global success of K-dramas and development of Korean IP into U.K. remakes. The session will feature Diane Min, head of format sales at CJ ENM and Claire Takami Siljedahl, development executive at Fifth Season, with CJ ENM\u2019s Jinhee Lee moderating.<\/p>\n
A third Korea-focused session will occur on February 23 in the Kelvin Theatre, with various scripted and unscripted formats presented, including SLL\u2019s Doctor Cha and Just Make Up, as well as MBC\u2019s Bloody Game.<\/p>\n
The panel titled Disruption in Formats Acquisitions and Sales will be staged in the Turing Theatre on February 23, with Maria-Pia Defourny, head of programming at RTL Belgium; Hayoung Rhee, VP and head of sales for Something Special; James Townley, chief content officer of development at Banijay; and moderator Nathalie Wogue, managing director of Wogue Entertainment, discussing platform priorities, budget pressures and changing distribution models.<\/p>\n
An exploration of IP, partnerships and irsk in the formats market will take place in the Formats ABC: Acquisition, Buying, Co-Development session, taking place right after the previous panel.
