The TV industry has been looking for a strong, fresh music talent format for a long time, and I truly believe the timing is exactly right.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>The Mashup<\/em> is a new music competition where duos merge two contrasting songs into one live performance, blending genres, eras and styles in bold and unexpected ways.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur first objective is to produce the format in the U.S. with a major studio and one of the leading broadcast networks, followed by a broader international expansion, starting with Europe,\u201d Pinto continued. \u201cI strongly believe this format will become a major global franchise; whoever comes on board early will win big.
