{"id":15061,"date":"2025-05-12T00:01:14","date_gmt":"2025-05-12T04:01:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/doc-martin-adaptation-lands-at-fox\/"},"modified":"2025-05-12T11:42:37","modified_gmt":"2025-05-12T15:42:37","slug":"doc-martin-adaptation-lands-at-fox","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/doc-martin-adaptation-lands-at-fox\/","title":{"rendered":"Doc Martin Adaptation Lands at FOX"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>FOX Entertainment has ordered <em>Best Medicine<\/em>, starring Josh Charles and adapted from the <em>Doc Martin<\/em> format.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. version, wholly owned by FOX Entertainment, hails from executive producers Ben Silverman, Rodney Ferrell, Liz Tuccillo, Mark Crowdy and Philippa Braithwaite and is set to debut in the 2025-2026 season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cThe story of <em>Doc Martin<\/em> has resonated worldwide with its humanity, originality, and humor, and with <em>Best Medicine<\/em> coming to FOX, that eccentricity gets a small-town America spin, complete with idyllic charm and absurdity,\u201d said Michael Thorn, president of the FOX Television Network.\u00a0 \u201cLiz, Mark, Philippa, Ben, and Rodney have done a terrific job adapting this signature character for the Fox audience, especially in casting the terrifically talented Josh Charles as our lead.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Propagate Content\u2019s Ben Silverman said, \u201cThe entire Propagate team is thrilled to be working with Fox Entertainment on this extraordinary adaptation by Liz Tuccillo of the global hit <em>Doc Martin<\/em>. Josh Charles is the perfect lead for this brilliantly character-driven comedic procedural. <em>Best Medicine<\/em> is a world we\u2019ll all want to be part of.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">All3Media International holds the rights to <em>Doc Martin<\/em>, which was produced originally in the U.K. by Buffalo Pictures in association with Homerun Film Productions.
