Fremantle has lined up an African adaptation of Project Runway <\/em>from Takeout Media and What Network that is set to debut in 2025.<\/p>\n Project Runway Africa<\/em> will see designers aged 21 to 40 share their unique heritage and creativity on a global stage and will offer a platform for brands and businesses in Africa\u2019s fashion ecosystem to connect with a style-conscious audience. The location of the inaugural season is being kept secret for now.<\/p>\n Spyglass Media Group owns the format for Project Runway<\/em>, and Fremantle handles format and tape licensing outside of the U.S. Takeout Media and What Network through its SPV Take Two Media licensed the format from Fremantle.<\/p>\n \u201cAfrica\u2019s fashion industry is one of the fastest growing in the world, fueled by a dynamic, young audience and rich cultural influences,\u201d said co-executive producer Chichi Nwoko. \u201cWith Project Runway Africa<\/em>, we\u2019re creating a platform that celebrates the continent\u2019s boundless creativity, empowering designers to bring their visions to life and share their unique voices with viewers across Africa and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cProject Runway Africa<\/em> isn\u2019t just a competition; it\u2019s a celebration of our continent\u2019s extraordinary design heritage and its bold future,\u201d commented co-executive producer Elijah Affi. \u201cWe\u2019re creating a platform to showcase how African designers reimagine global fashion through their unique perspectives and cultural richness.
