It is based on the original series <em>Ghosts<\/em>, produced by Monumental Television in association with Them There for BBC One and is distributed by BBC Studios.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel Monaghan, senior VP of content and programming for Paramount Australia, said: \u201c<em>Ghosts<\/em> has been a smash hit in the U.K. and U.S. and has also attracted a very loyal fanbase here in Australia. With a stellar cast yet to be announced, we can\u2019t wait to bring to life our very own series with an Aussie twist.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kylie Washington, general manager and creative director for BBC Studios Productions Australia, said: \u201c<em>Ghosts<\/em> is one of those brilliant comedies which lends itself perfectly to localization around the world, and we have our own, unique, Australian characters that reflect our very own history and culture.
