The series featured more than 30 Gladiators during its original run in the U.S. and since then, there have been franchises around the world, including the U.K., Australia, Japan, Denmark and South Africa.<\/p>\n<p><em>American Gladiators<\/em> will once again see a team of Gladiators compete against a brave set of Contenders in the ultimate test of speed and strength. The new show will include classics like \u201cGauntlet,\u201d \u201cHang Tough\u201d and \u201cThe Eliminator,\u201d as well as some brand-new challenges.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Gladiators<\/em> is an enduring, physical challenge format that continues to engage families around the world,\u201d said Lauren Anderson, head of brand and content innovation at Amazon MGM Studios. \u201cWe look forward to delighting our global Prime Video customers with both reimagined and nostalgic elements that celebrate the best of the original series.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Barry Poznick, general manager of MGM Alternative, Evolution Media and Big Fish Entertainment, added, \u201cDoing a cross-country casting search is exciting for us and for the fans.
