It will begin filming in Glasgow this spring, with <em>The Weakest Link<\/em> returning to BBC One and BBC iPlayer later this year. Details of the celebrity contestants will be confirmed in due course.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Weakest Link<\/em> is currently averaging 3.5 million viewers across the series (stable on last season), peaking at 4.4 million for the EastEnders special (28-Days data).<\/p>\n<p>Ranganathan said: \u201cIt\u2019s really a delight to be part of the BBC One Saturday night experience. I once again look forward to taking the credit if it goes well and blaming the format if it doesn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pete Ogden, executive producer of BBC Studios Entertainment Productions, said: \u201cWe\u2019re so excited to be back with another series of <em>The Weakest Link<\/em> to entertain the nation with on a Saturday night. With the amazing Romesh back at the helm, we know there will be lots of laughs.
