With Sphere Media Productions producing, the new adaptation will be hosted by Patricia Paquin, whose own 13-year-old suffers from learning disorders.<\/p>\n<p>The format was originally created by Shine TV for Channel 4 in the U.K. It has since been adapted in Australia, with two seasons on SBS, as well as in Denmark on DR and Germany on ZDF.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled to partner with T\u00e9l\u00e9-Qu\u00e9bec and Sphere Media Productions to bring this important\u2014and heartwarming\u2014format to Qu\u00e9bec viewers,\u201d said Jane Rimer, senior VP for Canada at Banijay Rights. \u201c<em>The Write Offs<\/em> shines a light on a very serious global issue and demonstrates how television can be used as a force for good to literally change lives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nadine Dufour, VP of content at T\u00e9l\u00e9-Qu\u00e9bec, said, \u201cAs a public television broadcaster, T\u00e9l\u00e9-Qu\u00e9bec\u2019s mandate is to reflect the reality and challenges of Qu\u00e9bec through its programming.
