The all-new, all-music treatment of the format follows Adam Growe, the long-time host of <em>Cash Cab Canada<\/em>, as he surprises unassuming passengers who hop in a taxi, only to discover they\u2019re instant contestants in a mobile music trivia game show.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the launch of <em>Cash Cab Music<\/em>, AXS acquired the Canadian version of the trivia show from All3Media International. Tape sales for <em>Cash Cab Music<\/em> are also handled by All3Media International.<\/p>\n<p>Also returning in North America is the rebooted <em>Taxi Payant: L&#8217;Escouade<\/em>, the French Canadian version of the format. Commissioned by Bell Media for 130 episodes, the new version currently airs on Noovo as a daily series produced by Zone 3.<\/p>\n<p>Jennifer Askin, senior VP of North America at All3Media International, commented, \u201c<em>Cash Cab<\/em> is going from strength to strength in North America; it\u2019s feel-good, hugely entertaining viewing that is brilliantly easy to play along to and the addition of <em>Cash Cab Music<\/em> represents an exciting evolution for this beloved global brand. It\u2019s also fantastic to see these new iterations of the format whilst ensuring it remains a hugely entertaining, fun, fast-paced ride.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, recent new commissions for the format include a German reboot of the series, which returned to ProSieben Kabel Einz for a 30-episode series; a 40-episode Serbian reboot launching on Blic TV in Serbia; and a Mongolian version launched a 32-episode series on NTV.<\/p>\n<p><i>Cash Cab<\/i>, which launched on ITV in the U.K. in 2005, has seen over 9,000 episodes produced in more than 50 countries, including the U.S., France, Australia and Thailand.
