{"id":10033,"date":"2023-11-01T10:09:09","date_gmt":"2023-11-01T14:09:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/secret-story-returning-france\/"},"modified":"2023-11-01T10:09:09","modified_gmt":"2023-11-01T14:09:09","slug":"secret-story-returning-to-france","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/secret-story-returning-to-france\/","title":{"rendered":"Secret Story Returning to France"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Secret Story<\/em>, a format within the <em>Big Brother<\/em> universe, is slated to return to TF1.<\/p>\n<p>The reality show from Endemol France will be back in 2024 after a six-year hiatus, with casting underway. <em>Secret Story<\/em> was first introduced to French audiences in 2007, airing for 11 seasons and almost 1,000 episodes, with a 15th anniversary special having aired in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, the format has also been adapted in Spain and Portugal. <em>Big Brother<\/em>, a Banijay format, has had 67 adaptations broadcast across 72 countries.<\/p>\n<p>Jean-Louis Blot, CEO of Endemol France, said: \u201cEntertaining viewers is in our DNA, and we are excited to creatively grow <em>Secret Story<\/em> for its comeback, introducing it to a new generation of fans while celebrating the time-tested success of this ever-evolving format. TF1 is a great partner, and we enjoyed revitalizing the resoundingly popular, classic format <em>Star Academy<\/em> for them, and we are poised to harness our expertise to take <em>Secret Story<\/em> to new heights.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lucas Green, chief content officer of operations at Banijay, added: \u201cAs part of the expansive <em>Big Brother<\/em> universe, <em>Secret Story<\/em> is well-placed to make a successful return to French television, bringing this hugely entertaining, original reality format to a fresh wave of viewers.
