Wedding Competition Series for BBC Two

BBC Studios’ new competition format Master of Ceremonies (working title) has been commissioned by BBC Two, which has also ordered two new shows fronted by Sara Cox and Romesh Ranganathan.

BBC Two and iPlayer ordered the six-part competition format Master of Ceremonies to be made by BBC Studios Factual Entertainment Productions. The series sees a cast of fledging wedding planners battle it out to prove they have what it takes to become Britain’s next best wedding guru.

Meanwhile, Ricochet has been commissioned for Britain’s Top Takeaways (w/t), a new eight-part series for BBC Two and iPlayer that sees some of the nation’s best-loved independent takeaways battling for supremacy in a fast-food showdown that crowns a different winner each week. Hosted by Cox, this celebration of Britain’s home delivery scene follows five takeaways from the same sector in each stand-alone episode.

Rumpus Media has been commissioned by BBC Two to produce a 3×1-hour series called The Misinvestigations of Romesh Ranganathan. In the show, Ranganathan will aim his razor-sharp wit at a new genre, true crime, and get to the bottom of some of the most mysterious​​ high-profile deaths that shocked a generation.
