The Greatest Dancer Headlines Fremantle’s Format Slate

Fremantle is gearing up for MIPCOM with a format lineup that features, among other titles, The Greatest Dancer from Syco Entertainment and Thames.

The entertainment show The Greatest Dancer was commissioned by BBC One and will see talent from across the world of dance audition in a studio that conceals a voting audience. The audience will decide who moves on in the competition.

Another highlight is Match Fit, which looks on as past football stars work to get back into shape and return to the pitch to face a team of former rivals. From Talkback, part of Fremantle, the new sporting reality format takes these footballers out of retirement and back into their football workout routines.

Fremantle is also introducing The Big Race. Four celebrities delve into the world of stock car racing. On the show, four stock car racing families invite a celebrity into their world and have six weeks and a limited budget to build a racecar together. The families must also teach the celebrity everything they know about racing.

Rob Clark, the director of global entertainment at Fremantle, stated, “The Greatest Dancer, commissioned by BBC One, will do for dance what Got Talent did for variety back in 2006, and we can’t wait to show our broadcaster partners in Cannes!”
