TOKYO: Your Home Is My Business! is among five new scripted and unscripted formats Nippon Television Network Corporation (Nippon TV) has added to its lineup for MIPTV 2017.

Nippon TV will present its MIPTV offering from a new booth in the Palais des Festivals. Your Home Is My Business! and Lost ID are both scripted formats based on Nippon TV drama series. Your Home Is My Business! follows a real-estate saleswoman who is known for closing the deal no matter who her client is. She pries into her clients’ private lives to find them the perfect home.

Lost ID is about a brilliant system engineer whose identity disappears completely. Left with nothing but loneliness, he refuses to give up no matter what the outcome.

Additionally, Nippon TV will present three non-scripted formats. Meet Me There is a docu-reality series that explores whether couples actually remember things the same way. In the docu-entertainment format Ghostwriter to the Rescue, celebrities who have made a name for themselves being funny, romantic or dramatic help people know what to say during important moments of their lives. Grab the Chance, meanwhile, gives people on the street the opportunity to have once-in-a-lifetime experiences, from bungee jumping in Macau to swimming with dolphins in Hawaii.

Nippon TV is currently seeing interest in its scripted format Mother. The format is a ratings success in Turkey, where it airs as Anne.

“We could not be more proud to be the top-rated broadcast network in Japan for three consecutive years,” commented Atsushi Hatayama, the president of international business development for the company. “As evidenced by the success of Mother, as well as the five new formats we are unveiling at MIPTV, we at Nippon TV are constantly adapting to the needs of all buyers around the world, including the digital platforms, where the need for formats, especially scripted formats, is at an all-time high.”
