MTV’s True Life Gets U.K. Treatment

MTV International is expanding the Emmy Award-winning True Life franchise with a localized treatment in the U.K.

The 4×1-hour True Life Crime UK will see broadcast journalist Linda Adey investigate the stories of four lives gone too soon, addressing haunting revelations and exposing new questions. True Life Crime UK will premiere around the world beginning April 7.

MTV’s True Life Crime premiered in the U.S. in early 2020, following award-winning journalist and MTV News host Dometi Pongo.

Adey commented: “I’ve reported on a lot of crime as a journalist and True Life Crime UK is about getting under the headlines and making sure we bring these young people’s stories to the world so that they are not forgotten. By spreading awareness of their names, we hope to honor them and shed light on the cruelty of lives lost too soon.”
