Media Ranch Unveils Format Highlights for MIPCOM

Media Ranch, a Canadian TV producer and distributor, plans to present a variety of original formats that will be available for acquisition for the first time at next month’s market in Cannes.

The Ex-pert is a factual series following a divorce attorney and a family psychologist as they help separated couples resolve their disputes. The show was recently produced for Canal Vie in Canada, where it is led by celebrity divorce lawyer Anne-France Goldwater.

The interactive crime investigation format The Judas sees six players participate in an alternative reality game. The program originally premiered in French on the Radio-Canada website.

The Vault, meanwhile, is a new reality game show in which 12 contestants can plan and execute their own bank heists. The series was co-developed with Dutch producer Tuvalu Media.

“We’re extremely excited to celebrate our tenth anniversary with our most innovative slate of formats yet,” said Sophie Ferron, the president of Media Ranch. “Each of our three formats is unique and innovative in its own right, and we can’t wait to bring them to this year’s MIPCOM.”
