Magilla Entertainment Partners with Sugar23

Magilla Entertainment (Moonshiners, Beach Front Bargain Hunt) has teamed with Michael Sugar’s Sugar23 (Spotlight, Dickinson, 13 Reasons Why) to develop a slate of unscripted projects.

Among the initial projects in development is the intergenerational dating social experiment The Grand Date Experiment, during which Millennials and Baby Boomers take control of each other’s dating rituals.

The slate of projects also includes a new cooking series and a prank competition show.

David Hillman, head of alternative and unscripted, will spearhead the partnership for Sugar23, working alongside Magilla’s Laura Palumbo Johnson and Matthew Ostrom, co-foudners, and Jason Fox, president.

Hillman said, “Matt, Laura and Jason are the best at what they do, and Sugar23 can’t wait to collaborate with them to develop content that is fresh, entertaining and forward-thinking. Reality TV provides the fun escape that we all need, and we have found the perfect partners to make it with.”
