Lego Masters Scores Local Treatments in Oz, Germany

Endemol Shine Group has licensed the new entertainment format Lego Masters for adaptations on Nine in Australia and RTL in Germany.

The Aussie and German versions will be produced by Endemol Shine Australia and Endemol Shine Germany, respectively. The format is slated for broadcast on RTL later this year, and on Nine and 9Now in 2019. Casting is underway in both countries.

Lego Masters, which was originally created by Tuesday’s Child, first began airing on Channel 4 in the U.K. last summer. The show looks on as “brick heads” compete to impress with their creativity, design and flair.

Lisa Perrin, Endemol Shine Group’s CEO of Creative Networks, noted: “Lego is a globally renowned and much-loved phenomenon that appeals to people of all ages and Lego Masters most definitely has the same pull. It’s a hugely fun and family-friendly format, and we expect it to engage Australian and German viewers and other markets in the way in which it has done in the U.K.”
