Legends of Gaming Format Lands on Endemol Beyond Brazil

SÃO PAULO: Endemol Shine Group has released a local adaptation of the Legends of Gaming digital format on its premium content network Endemol Beyond Brazil.

Hosted by YouTube star Felipe Castanhari, Legends of Gaming Brazil sees 16 of the country’s top gamers battle for a cash prize and a trip to the U.K. The first battle is out today, with new challenges available every Tuesday and Thursday.

Endemol Beyond UK created the original format, which has also been adapted by Endemol Beyond USA. It is currently being developed locally in Germany, France and Asia.

“This is the first time we have locally produced an Endemol Beyond digital format on YouTube in Brazil,” said Vanessa Oliveira, the director of Endemol Beyond Brazil. “Using Endemol Shine’s global expertise in the creation and production of digital content, we can share the culture and experiences from some of the best gamers in the world. Above all, this project reaffirms YouTube as a great entertainment platform.”

Juliana Algañaraz, the director of business development for Latin America, added: “We are very excited that this is the first channel to be solely produced by Endemol Beyond Brazil. We hope to replicate the project in other countries in Latin America in the near future.”
