Endemol Shine Group has licensed the singing talent-show format All Together Now into Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) for the first time.

Polsat ordered a local version of All Together Now from Endemol Shine Poland. The entertainment format was created by Remarkable Television. It has now been sold into six territories following its premiere on BBC One in the U.K. earlier this year.

Ryszard Sibilski, the managing director at Endemol Shine Poland, stated: “Ever since we first heard of this catchy new show from our colleagues at Remarkable in the U.K., we’ve had a huge amount of anticipation about bringing it to viewers in Poland. We firmly believe this format is redefining the entertainment genre and we look forward to adapting the show for Polsat.”

In other news, Network Ten has commissioned an Aussie treatment of the new quiz show Pointless from Endemol Shine Australia. The adaptation, which will be co-presented by medical practitioner/author Andrew Rochford and comedian/writer Mark Humphries, is slated to launch on TEN and WIN Network soon. The program first began airing in the U.K. back in 2009, with local versions in 11 other territories around the globe.

Rochford remarked: “I’m very lucky to be forming a team with a talent like Mark and genuinely excited to be back at TEN, but I’m even more excited about the fact my dressing room has a couch and Mark’s doesn’t.”

Humphries noted: “Who said Twitter is a waste of time? After an extensive social media campaign (two tweets), TEN had no choice but to give me the dream role as host of Pointless.”

Beverley McGarvey, Network Ten’s chief content officer, said: “We are delighted to commission such a successful and entertaining game show as Pointless. This is fantastic entertainment for the whole family, as contestants try and find the most pointless answers.”

“And we are absolutely thrilled to have Andrew and Mark co-host the show. They are smart, funny and engaging, and will make a brilliant duo.”

Rick Maier, executive producer for Network Ten, commented: “Pointless is funny, challenging, defies all traditional quiz logic and completely gets you in. Even if you don’t know the answer, it’s impossible not to play along.”

Endemol Shine Australia CEO Mark Fennessy added: “Pointless is a rare piece of TV inspiration. Universally loved and an international smash hit for [nearly] ten years, it’s brilliantly inventive, highly entertaining, humorous and stupidly addictive.”
