Another Season of Catchphrase Headed to ITV

LONDON: ITV has commissioned STV Productions to make a fifth season of the game show Catchphrase.

Filming on the eight-episode season will begin in February 2016. Stephen Mulhern will return as host, joined by his animated sidekick, Mr Chips. Catchphrase was commissioned by Peter Davey, the commissioning editor for entertainment at ITV. The fourth season currently airs on ITV on Saturday nights.

“We’re thrilled to be working with ITV and Stephen again on the best play-along show on TV,” said Gary Chippington, the head of entertainment at STV Productions. “It's fantastic to see that Catchphrase remains such a big hit with viewers and I hope they keep joining in the fun and shouting at their screens with these new episodes.”
