Jellyfish Pictures has expanded its senior creative team with two key appointments, naming Nicolas Hernandez VFX supervisor and Kevin Hoppe CG supervisor.<\/p>\n
With a career spanning nearly 20 years, Hernandez joins Jellyfish Pictures after six years at the London-based VFX studio Milk Visual Effects, which he also co-founded. Hernandez\u2019s VFX and CG supervisor credits include the feature films 4 Kids and It<\/em>, Annihilation<\/em>, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them<\/em>, Snow White and the Huntsman<\/em> and The Divergent Series: Insurgent<\/em>, among others.<\/p>\n For television, Hernandez\u2019s credits include Altered Carbon, 24: Live Another Day<\/em> and BBC One\u2019s Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell<\/em>. Before co-founding Milk, Hernandez enjoyed an eight-year stint at the London VFX powerhouse The Mill. During this time at The Mill, he led his team on many high-profile television dramas earning him five VES nominations.<\/p>\n In his new appointment to VFX supervisor, Hernandez will bring his understanding of the entire VFX workflow to every project and encourage the very best out of his team.<\/p>\n Hernandez said, \u201cI am very excited to have joined Jellyfish Pictures. Before his time at Crafty Apes, Hoppe held senior positions at DNEG and DreamWorks Animation, racking up a list of credits that includes\u00a0Home<\/em>, Turbo<\/em>, How to Train Your Dragon<\/em> and Kung Fu Panda 2<\/em>.<\/p>\n Hoppe\u2019s responsibilities at Jellyfish Pictures will see him utilize his skills of managing and developing teams, overseeing the evolution of Jellyfish Pictures\u2019 feature animation pipeline, ensuring artists can be as efficient and empowered as possible to deliver the highest quality of work.<\/p>\n Hoppe said, \u201cThe creative and positive energy of Jellyfish Pictures is a rare find.
