BBC Studios Production has added to its comedy audio team with the hiring of Claire Broughton as executive producer and Leila Navabi as producer.<\/p>\n
Broughton joins from Hat Trick, where she worked as a development producer on projects such as Episodes<\/em>, The Armstrong and Miller Show<\/em> and Spy<\/em>. She produced the BBC Radio 4 series Before They Were Famous<\/em> and God\u2019s Work<\/em> and was an associate producer on Boomers<\/em> for BBC One. Prior to joining Hat Trick, Broughton worked at Potboiler Productions and Thin Man Films on a variety of projects, including The Constant Gardener<\/em> and Mike Leigh\u2019s Vera Drake<\/em>.<\/p>\n Navabi is joining BBC Studios\u2019 audio team as a producer. She will work with other producers across a range of BBC Studios output from long-running shows such as Radio 4\u2019s The Now Show<\/em> through to working with talent at the start of their broadcasting career.<\/p>\n The audio team is part of BBC Studios Comedy, which produces award-winning programs like Inside No. 9<\/em> and Famalam<\/em>, as well as the recent Ladhood<\/em>, which was adapted from the Radio 4 series for BBC Three. It makes a wide range of comedy and entertainment shows and podcasts, including The News Quiz<\/em>, Just a Minute<\/em> and Newsjack<\/em>. It also makes podcasts such as Jacob Hawley: On Drugs<\/em> and The Asian Network\u2019s But.. Where Are You Really From?<\/em>, which are currently on BBC Sounds.<\/p>\n Julia McKenzie, creative director for audio, said: \u201cI\u2019m delighted that Claire is joining BBC Studios and bringing her experience and creativity to our audio team.
