An actor, writer and comedian, Shearsmith co-created, wrote and acted in <em>The League of Gentlemen<\/em> and has starred in such comedies as <em>Car Share<\/em>, <em>Mid Morning Matters<\/em>, <em>Catterick<\/em> and <em>Spaced<\/em>. Pemberton, also a co-creator and star of <em>The League of Gentlemen<\/em>, counts among his acting credits<em> Killing Eve<\/em>, <em>Britannia<\/em>, <em>The Interrogation of Tony Martin<\/em>, <em>Whitechapel<\/em> and <em>Happy Valley<\/em>. He also adapted <em>Mapp and Lucia<\/em> from the novels of E F Benson.<\/p>\n<p>Josh Cole, head of comedy at BBC Studios Production, said: \u201cReece and Steve are two of the most extraordinarily talented and distinctive creators working today. Their gift for comic storytelling knows no bounds and we\u2019re hugely excited to be developing new projects with them.
