David Brindley, currently the BBC\u2019s head of commissioning for popular factual and factual entertainment, is joining Twofour in the role of chief creative officer.<\/p>\n
Brindley will be joining the label next year, with responsibility for devising and implementing its creative strategy. At the BBC, Brindley has been overseeing commissions for BBC One, Two and Three, totaling over 350 hours of content a year. His department\u2019s commissions over the past three years at the BBC include Race Across the World<\/em>, Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing<\/em>, Jesy Nelson: Odd One Out<\/em>, The Misadventures of Romesh Ranganathan<\/em>, The Murder of Jill Dando<\/em>, War on Plastic with Hugh and Anita<\/em>, Your Home Made Perfect<\/em>, Travels in Trumpland<\/em> with Ed Balls<\/em> and The Rap Game UK<\/em>.<\/p>\n Brindley rounds out the new senior management team at Twofour that was unveiled by Tim Carter, CEO of the ITV Studios labels MultiStory Media and Twofour, today. Dan Adamson (The Hotel Inspector<\/em>, Beat the Chef<\/em>), group director of programs at Twofour since 2010, is promoted to managing director and will work alongside Brindley across the label on strategy.<\/p>\n Creative Director David Clews (the Educating<\/em> series, Real Marigold Hotel<\/em>, Ibiza Weekender<\/em>) will continue working across Twofour in a new consultancy role, remaining exclusive to the label in non-scripted programming but with the flexibility to pursue broader scripted opportunities. The new-look team is completed by Rachel Innes-Lumsden (Save Money: Lose Weight<\/em>, Matt Allright\u2019s Housing Scandal<\/em>), newly promoted director of programs for Twofour West; Sam Grace, director of programs leading the charge at the Cardiff-based Boomerang; Shireen Abbott, group director of production; and Jake Roberts, who has been promoted to financial director.<\/p>\n \u201cOver the past couple of years,\u201d said Carter, \u201cDavid has transformed popular factual at the BBC into an incubator for bold, contemporary, global formats. The creative ambition he\u2019s championed is the perfect match for Twofour. He joins a best in class team. I\u2019ve loved the chance to create some hopefully memorable television with Charlotte, Patrick and Fiona, but the opportunity to set my sights back on production and taking the reins at Twofour will be a dream job and a real privilege.
