SPI International affiliate Kino Polska TV has established a production arm, aimed at delivering big-budget Polish and international blockbusters, along with TV productions that celebrate the traditions and history of Poland.<\/p>\n
Loni Farhi, president of SPI International, said: “Poland is a country with a rich history and culture, and we have all these\u00a0incredibly talented people around us. SPI and Kino Polska TV saw an opportunity to\u00a0utilize this pool of creative talent to start a brand new venture in Poland.\u00a0Our production arm is ready to create, develop and distribute movies that will have local success in mind.\u00a0We are also planning to bring in international talent where we see fit and\u00a0bring\u00a0certain projects to\u00a0life\u00a0that will appeal not only to the Polish audience but\u00a0also\u00a0to\u00a0a wider\u00a0international audience.\u201d<\/p>\n

SPI International has partnered with director, writer and producer\u00a0Philippe Martinez as co-producer of special projects in Poland. Martinez commented: \u201cWe have big plans for 2020 and beyond. My favorite part of working with Loni and Bogus\u0142aw, and the team at SPI and Kino Polska TV is that they think big! We are going to create local jobs, hire local talent, and bring in all the right people to develop and produce blockbuster movies of the highest quality. Kino Polska TV will be involved in several local TV productions and feature movie projects in the coming years. \u201cAll major TV stations in the Polish market have their own creations as a fundamental element of their competitiveness,\u201d said\u00a0Bogus\u0142aw Kisielewski,\u00a0president\u00a0of the\u00a0management board\u00a0of\u00a0Kino Polska TV. \u201cI am confident that international cooperation with such experienced people as Philippe and Loni will maximize our potential for further growth and increase our viewership. Kino Polska TV has\u00a0already lined up five feature film projects for 2020. One of the first productions to come out of this new venture is a comedy entitled\u00a0Over My Dead Body\u00a0<\/em>(Po moim trupie<\/em>), directed by\u00a0Tomasz Konecki\u00a0and co-produced with\u00a0Krzysztof Szpetma\u0144ski.\u00a0It will star\u00a0Rafa\u0142 Zawierucha\u00a0(Once Upon a Time in Hollywood<\/em>). Production for the movie will begin in mid-2020, and the film is expected to premiere in Polish cinemas in January or February of 2021.
