Lagard\u00e8re Studios, already a shareholder of the company, has acquired the shares held until now by Grupo Godo. Created in 2010, Veranda is headed by Aitor Mont\u00e1nchez and Ignasi Comillas.<\/p>\n<p>Two adaptations of <em>Merl\u00ed<\/em> are currently being developed for France and Italy, as is a spin-off, <em>Merl\u00ed: Sapere Aude<\/em>, for Movistar+ in Spain. The company&#8217;s other productions include <em>Persona Infiltrada<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Oh Happy Day<\/em>, <em>Catalunya Directe,\u00a0Gran Nord<\/em> and the documentaries\u00a0<em>Tots som 1, 15 anys de radio<\/em>,<em> Fet a Catalunya<\/em>,<em> Les<\/em> <em>flors del mal<\/em>\u00a0and many more.<\/p>\n<p>This acquisition in Catalonia allows Lagard\u00e8re Studios to strengthen its presence in Spain, with a brand that complements the Boomerang TV group.<\/p>\n<p>Christophe Thoral, CEO of Lagard\u00e8re Studios, said: &#8220;We are delighted to consolidate our European presence with this new acquisition, which opens up additional opportunities for Boomerang TV that will complement the productions already underway in Spain.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lagard\u00e8re Studios has acquired the Barcelona-based production outfit Veranda, which is behind series such as Merl\u00ed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1049,"featured_media":9656,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[69],"tags":[1332,2158,2159],"class_list":["post-9654","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","","category-top-stories","tag-lagardere-studios","tag-merli","tag-veranda"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.7 -
