NBC Entertainment has tapped Ed Havard to be its director of entertainment partnerships for the U.K.<\/p>\n

In his new post, Havard will be responsible for procuring new partnerships and business relations with top U.K. talent\u2014both in front and behind the camera\u2014that have potential for transatlantic crossover. He will also oversee the development, production and launch of Universal Television Alternative Studios formats in the U.K.; and find and drive new business opportunities between NBC Entertainment, NBCUniversal International production companies and the Sky portfolio of networks and production companies.<\/p>\n

Havard will be based in London and report to Enrique Guillen, executive VP of commercial strategy and international development at NBC Entertainment.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining NBC Entertainment, Havard served as the head of entertainment and TV events at Channel 4 for seven years. He began his career in news and current affairs at the BBC, where he was the editor of BBC One\u2019s \u201cQuestion Time\u201d and produced a range of news and current affairs programs and events.<\/p>\n
