{"id":9582,"date":"2019-09-17T09:38:04","date_gmt":"2019-09-17T13:38:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tveurope\/sky-channel-4-strengthen-content-partnership\/"},"modified":"2019-09-17T11:02:13","modified_gmt":"2019-09-17T15:02:13","slug":"sky-channel-4-strengthen-content-partnership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tveurope\/2019\/09\/17\/sky-channel-4-strengthen-content-partnership\/","title":{"rendered":"Sky &amp; Channel 4 Strengthen Content Partnership"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sky and Channel 4 have broadened their partnership, which includes Formula 1 coverage and more box sets.<\/p>\n<p>Following a successful 2019 season, highlights of Formula 1 and live coverage of the British Grand Prix will continue to be broadcast on Channel 4 as part of a wider, multiyear content deal.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Sky and NOW TV customers will be able to access even more upfront box-set stacks from Channel 4. They will be able to binge all episodes of selected Channel 4 series before they are broadcast.<\/p>\n<p>Channel 4 and Sky have agreed to a multiyear carriage deal renewal that includes broadening All 4 to offer Sky customers &#8220;All 4 Exclusive&#8221; programming, as part of an offer that will have more box sets than ever before and extending access to Walter Presents series.<\/p>\n<p>This latest partnership between Sky and Channel 4 builds on previous collaborations which, most recently, saw the two share rights to the final of the Cricket World Cup.<\/p>\n<p>Alex Mahon, chief\u00a0executive of Channel 4, said: \u201cThis landmark new partnership with Sky is a fantastic example of how broadcasters can work together to extend the reach of our content and innovate for the benefit of both viewers and advertisers. I\u2019m particularly thrilled that we are extending our collaboration with Sky on Formula 1, which secures highlights of all races and live coverage of the British Grand Prix on free-to-air television.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stephen van Rooyen, CEO for the U.K. and Ireland at Sky, said: \u201cWe\u2019ve long thought that collaboration benefits both consumers and the industry\u2014today\u2019s news does exactly that. Together, Sky and Channel 4 will connect their viewers to more of the content they love, while bringing brands better ways to reach audiences.
