{"id":9473,"date":"2019-07-11T09:59:11","date_gmt":"2019-07-11T13:59:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tveurope\/rtl-group-merges-assets-create-europes-leading-digital-studio\/"},"modified":"2019-07-11T11:20:06","modified_gmt":"2019-07-11T15:20:06","slug":"rtl-group-merges-assets-to-create-europes-leading-digital-studio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tveurope\/2019\/07\/11\/rtl-group-merges-assets-to-create-europes-leading-digital-studio\/","title":{"rendered":"RTL Group Merges Assets to Create &#8220;Europe\u2019s Leading Digital Studio&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>RTL Group is bringing together its digital video business in the Nordics, United Screens, with its Berlin-based digital video company, Divimove.<\/p>\n<p>The group also plans to integrate the Dutch RTL MCN into the combined entity.<\/p>\n<p>The combination is poised to make Divimove Europe\u2019s leading digital studio and home for digital content creators, representing more than 1,000 talents in nine European countries.<\/p>\n<p>The executive committee has approved a growth plan to significantly expand Divimove\u2019s capabilities in the areas of talent management, production of short-form video content, advertising sales and technology\/data. Bolstered by these investments, the combined company\u2019s revenue is expected to double to more than 100 million euros by 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Tobias Schiwek will continue to serve as CEO of Divimove and will also lead the integration process of Divimove, United Screens and RTL MCN. Schiwek will report to RTL Group\u2019s executive committee, effective immediately. Natalie Tidestr\u00f6m Heidmark will continue to serve as CEO of United Screens, reporting to Schiwek.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas Rabe, CEO of RTL Group, said: \u201cRTL Group\u2019s digital video businesses have built significant reach among young audiences which are highly sought after by advertisers. We have now defined a new structure and strategy to convert the rapid growth in short-form video consumption into a profitable business: we are bundling our strengths into one company with a hands-on management team, we are investing in talent, creativity and technology\u2014and we are bringing the cooperation within our Group to the next level.
