He is tasked with driving the continued growth of Eurosport across Europe. In this newly created role, he will also coordinate sports rights acquisitions and represent Discovery with rights holders, federations and agencies. In addition, Georgiou will develop and help execute a strategy that leverages Discovery\u2019s sports portfolio to create unique solutions for marketers around the world. He will report to JB Perrette, president and CEO of Discovery International.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAndrew\u2019s an impressive leader with a strong commercial and entrepreneurial passion and track record,&#8221; Perrette said. &#8220;He\u2019s the ideal person to lead the continued expansion of Eurosport and help find new ways to bring Discovery\u2019s unparalleled multiscreen capabilities and assets to work for rights holders and marketers across the globe.
