Amusement Park, a Germany-based production company, has hired former Red Arrow exec Amelie von Kienlin to bolster its TV department, with a focus on domestic and international series.<\/p>\n

Previously, von Kienlin served as senior VP of scripted acquisition and co-production at Red Arrow Studios International in London. Earlier in her career, she spent a number of years serving as head of co-production at Wild Bunch Germany and head of acquisitions for the international distribution division of Telepool (now Global Screen).<\/p>\n

Amusement Park’s upcoming television projects include City of Night<\/em>, based on the graphic novel Berlinoir<\/em>, with Dennis Gansel on board to direct. The company is also working on adapting G\u00fcnter Grass Blechtrommel<\/em> as an event series for TV.<\/p>\n

Malte Grunert, who founded\u00a0Amusement Park in 2009, remarked: “We are delighted to welcome Amelie on board. She is a highly experienced international TV and film executive and she brings with her a unique market insight and creative talent, not to mention a formidable international network. We have high ambitions for the coming years and we look forward to taking on these challenges with Amelie as a key part of the team.”<\/p>\n

Kienlin added: “After great years, predominately on the side of the financers, I am hugely excited to be joining Amusement Park. Malte has impressed me over the years with the high-end international feature films he\u2019s produced. By partnering with Daniel Br\u00fchl and Klaus Dohle, he has established an exciting setup for a production company.
