{"id":8497,"date":"2018-06-20T14:07:57","date_gmt":"2018-06-20T18:07:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tveurope\/golden-nymph-award-winners-revealed-monaco\/"},"modified":"2018-06-20T14:07:57","modified_gmt":"2018-06-20T18:07:57","slug":"golden-nymph-award-winners-revealed-in-monaco","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tveurope\/2018\/06\/20\/golden-nymph-award-winners-revealed-in-monaco\/","title":{"rendered":"Golden Nymph Award Winners Revealed in Monaco"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The recipients of the Golden Nymph Awards were presented at the 58th Monte-Carlo Television Festival at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco last night.<\/p>\n<p>The best long fiction program was <em>Little Boy Blue<\/em> from ITV Studios in the U.K. The outstanding actress and actor awards in the same category went to Sin\u00e8ad Keenan for <em>Little Boy Blue<\/em> and Ewan McGregor for <em>Fargo<\/em> in the U.S., respectively.<\/p>\n<p>In the news category, best documentary went to <em>Abuse and the UN<\/em>\/<em>FN Och \u00d6vergreppen<\/em> from Swedish Television\/Mission Investigate in Sweden. The Jury Prize was given to <em>Monsul<\/em> from Mongoose Pictures\/Frontline WGBH in the U.K. Best TV news item went to <em>Libya Slave Auction<\/em> from CNN International in the U.S., U.K. and Libya, while the best live breaking news recipient was <em>Zimbabwe<\/em> from BBC News in the U.K.<\/p>\n<p>For comedy, the best TV series was <em>The End Of The F***ing World<\/em> from Clerkenwell Films\/Dominic Buchanan Productions in the U.K. Outstanding actress\/actor were Daisy May Cooper for <em>This Country<\/em> in the U.K. and Tony Shalhoub for <em>The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel<\/em> in the U.S., respectively.<\/p>\n<p>And in drama, the best TV series was<em> La Casa de Papel<\/em> from Vancouver Media in Spain. Outstanding actress was Lynn Van Royen for <em>Hotel Beau Sejour<\/em>\/<em>Beau S\u00e9jour in Belgium<\/em>, while outstanding actor was Johannes Lassen for <em>Below the Surface<\/em>\/<em>Gidseltagningen<\/em> in Denmark.<\/p>\n<p>There were international TV audience awards given in the categories of best action and science fiction TV series (<em>Scorpion<\/em> from CBS Television Studios, SB Films, Perfect Storm Entertainment, Blackjack Productions and K\/O Paper Products in the U.S.); best crime TV series (<em>Lethal Weapon<\/em> from Lin Pictures, Good Session Productions and Warner Bros. Television in the U.S.); and best telenovelas\/soap operas (<em>The Bold and the Beautiful<\/em> from Bell-Phillip Television Productions in the U.S.).<\/p>\n<p>In addition, a number of special prizes were presented.<\/p>\n<p>Laurent Puons, CEO of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, remarked: \u201cThe 58th edition of our festival has been a true celebration of the depth and breadth of global programming.
