AMC Networks International Central and Northern Europe (AMCNI CNE) has appointed Marcel Mares as country manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.<\/p>\n

In his new role, Mares will handle sales and operations in the Czech and Slovak territories where AMCNI CNE distributes 14 channels spanning sports, film and series, as well as kids and infotainment. He is expected to develop the company’s portfolio of brands and increasing profitability. He will work out of Prague under Bal\u00e1zs Haj\u00f3s, the VP of affiliate sales at AMCNI CNE.<\/p>\n

Previously, Mares spent a half-decade as sales, distribution and business development manager for Discovery Communications in CEEMEA. Earlier in his career, he worked in the FMCG sector for such companies as Duracell International, Energizer and Philips.<\/p>\n
