Rabbit Films has been named the recipient of the Hulda \u2013 Finnish Audiovisual Export Award in recognition of its entrance into the international market.<\/p>\n

Ultimate Expedition<\/em>, produced by Rabbit Films, marks the first-ever TV series produced by a Finnish production company for the U.S. market. The award was presented to CEO\u00a0Olli Suominen\u00a0as well as Chairman of the Board\u00a0Jarno Laasala\u00a0and the head of Rabbit USA,\u00a0Jukka Hild\u00e9n, on March 23 at the Jussi Awards to Rabbit Films. The award was presented by Finnish Member of Parliament\u00a0Jaana Pelkonen.<\/p>\n

\u201cRabbit Films\u2019 journey into the U.S. market is a reflection of the company\u2019s determination and ambition, which is integral to a Finnish production company succeeding on the international market,\u201d noted Kopiosto CEO\u00a0Valtteri Niiranen, who was head of the award jury. \u201cHulda \u2013 Finnish Audiovisual Export Award was now presented for the sixth time. It\u2019s been such a pleasure to see how the list of serious contenders has grown each year. This year\u2019s nominees once again included international success stories and projects that represented numerous different genres.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cA few years ago we embarked on this journey to build our Rabbit Films U.S. office with our own brand of Northern craziness, aiming to spread our message of positive anarchy across the globe,\u201d commented Rabbit Films’ Hild\u00e9n. \u201cThanks to our amazing team and the entire company\u2019s incredible united spirit, all the hard work has finally started to pay off. Ultimate Expedition<\/em>\u00a0was an unbelievable experience both professionally and personally.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to Hulda \u2013 Finnish Audiovisual Export Award, the jury gave an honorable mention to two internationally successful professional pairings, Anttu Harlin and Joonas Utti\u2019s creation Gigglebug<\/em>, and It\u2019s Alive Films\u2019 Teemu Nikki\u00a0and\u00a0Jani P\u00f6s\u00f6\u00a0for their original youth content series\u00a0Mental<\/em>. The first remake of the series premieres in Germany later this year.<\/p>\n

This year also marked the first time the Hulda \u2013 Finnish Audiovisual Export Award was presented by the audiovisual sector\u2019s content creator advocacy and copyright association\u00a0Audiovisual Producers Finland \u2013 APFI. Each year the prize is awarded to a Finnish audiovisual production, professional, company or team that has demonstrated innovative spirit and made a clear international breakthrough.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
