STV Productions has named Nick Johns head of entertainment development, a newly created position at the U.K. company.<\/p>\n

Johns was first hired by STV Productions in 2014 and has since worked on ITV2’s SafeWord<\/em> and ITV Daytime’s Babushka<\/em>, among other shows. Earlier in his career, he was a freelancer for such channels as ITV and BBC One.<\/p>\n

Johns remarked: \u201cI love everything about entertainment and I couldn\u2019t be more excited to be working with the amazing team at STV Productions to bring more big and brilliant ideas to life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gary Chippington, the head of entertainment at STV Productions, added: \u201cNick has great ideas, great taste and a real feel for entertainment telly.
