Sony Channel, which showcases an array of European dramas; AXN, a male action-orientated service; and Animax, dedicated to anime, will be available for an add-on subscription to Amazon Prime members in the territories.<\/p>\n<p>Kate Marsh, executive VP of Sony Pictures Television&#8217;s Western Europe International Networks division, said: \u201cWe are delighted to expand distribution of our services in Germany and Austria in this first-time partnership with the Amazon Channels service. This is an exciting opportunity for Amazon Prime customers to sample three of Sony Networks\u2019 top content brands which include a wide range of high-quality programming from popular, award-winning TV series to great special interest shows for fan-based audiences through targeted, curated channels as well as on-demand.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Alex Green, managing director of Amazon Channels Europe, said: \u201cPrime members in Germany and Austria can already enjoy over 40 Amazon Channels. Now, we are delighted to offer three exciting new premium channels: AXN, Sony Channel and Animax. This great selection of action content, award-winning series and anime complements the Amazon originals and other exclusive content Prime members already enjoy.
