{"id":8020,"date":"2017-10-19T01:00:58","date_gmt":"2017-10-19T05:00:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tveurope\/worldscreen.com\/"},"modified":"2017-10-19T06:24:54","modified_gmt":"2017-10-19T10:24:54","slug":"zdf-enterprises-shores-up-sales-in-cannes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tveurope\/2017\/10\/19\/zdf-enterprises-shores-up-sales-in-cannes\/","title":{"rendered":"ZDF Enterprises Shores Up Sales in Cannes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ZDF Enterprises, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary, has notched up sales across its drama, documentary, entertainment and kids\u2019 portfolios at MIPCOM.<\/p>\n<p>ZDFE.entertainment signed a sales contract with Cirque du Soleil that entitles the company to broadcast across Europe the new production of <em>O<\/em> at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, as well as TV, pay-TV and VOD marketing across the German-speaking sphere of the entire future Cirque du Soleil catalog.<\/p>\n<p>On the drama front, Walter Presents has taken new seasons of <em>Wataha<\/em> and <em>Thicker Than Water<\/em>, in addition to acquiring <em>Before We Die<\/em>, <em>Maltese<\/em> and <em>Helen Dorn<\/em>. SRF licensed three new seasons of <em>SOKO Leipzig<\/em> and acquired licenses for four others. Lead actress Veerle Baetens and showrunner Malin-Sarah Gozin were at the market to present the thriller series\u00a0<em>Tabula Rasa<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>As for factual highlights, <em>Size Matters<\/em> was sold to NHK, while <em>Big Pacific<\/em> was taken by EBS Korea. <em>Project Nazi<\/em> went to RMC D\u00e9couverte and Viasat World, which also acquired the six-parter <em>The Story of Europe <\/em>for their territories.<\/p>\n<p>ZDFE.junior sold <em>Scream Street<\/em> and the first season of\u00a0<em><span class=\"st\">The Jungle Book<\/span> <\/em>for its CEE-wide SVOD service. Hungarian Telekom acquired a package of about 140 hours of animation and live action for its SVOD service Videot\u00e9ka and TVGO Movieclub. The package includes three seasons of <em>Dance Academy<\/em> and the animated titles <em>Coconut, the Little Dragon<\/em> and <em>Lassie<\/em>. <em>Dance Academy: The Comeback<\/em> and accompanying miniseries will air on free TV in the Netherlands (NPO) and Belgium (VRT) in 2018.
