Animation accounted for 40 percent of international sales, totaling \u20ac75 million ($90 million), up 42 percent. Sales for fiction increased by 21 percent to \u20ac50 million ($60 million). Meanwhile, documentary sales registered their second highest results ever with more than \u20ac35 million ($42 million).<\/p>\n<p>VOD platforms accounted for 20.4 percent of all French sales in 2016, double their share in the previous year.
