It\u00a0was created to simplify the commissioning process and to develop stronger links between commissioning teams. Street is based in Glasgow and will be supported by an\u00a0assistant commissioner.<\/p>\n<p>Street has produced, directed, executive produced and commissioned series spanning all genres, including <em>Countryfile<\/em> and <em>Weakest Link<\/em>. Her current slate comprises\u00a0such titles as <em>Homes Under the Hammer<\/em>, <em>Antiques Road Trip<\/em>, <em>Eggheads<\/em>, <em>Money for Nothing<\/em>, <em>Wild UK<\/em>, <em>Impossible<\/em> and <em>Letterbox<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Kate Phillips, controller of entertainment commissioning, remarked: \u201cJo has a unique set of skills\u2014not only within entertainment and daytime but in other genres too. As an experienced developer, producer and commissioner with a passion for programming, I know she will excel in the post and make it her own.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dan McGolpin, controller of programming and daytime, noted: \u201cJo is the perfect appointment for this exciting new role based in Glasgow. She will continue her wonderful work with the creative community in Scotland and around the U.K., now with a broader remit that will promote further collaboration between our entertainment and daytime commissioning teams.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Street added: &#8220;It\u2019s a great opportunity to build on the success I\u2019ve had with daytime and expand and grow entertainment commissions in Scotland too.
