ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVS GE) has hired Vincent Baylaucq, a former BBC Worldwide senior sales exec, as VP of sales for French-speaking Europe, a newly created position that is effective immediately.<\/p>\n

Baylaucq will be responsible for expanding the company’s\u00a0business across France and French-speaking markets, including collaborating with Tetra Media Studio on the distribution of their content across the region. He will work out of Paris under Dan Gopal, ITVS GE’s executive VP of EMEA distribution and global digital partners.<\/p>\n

Previously, Baylaucq represented the catalog of BBC Worldwide in France. He left the company last year to consult, advising independent producers on their distribution strategies. Earlier in his career, he held various roles at Canal+ Group, including managing non-scripted sales in French-speaking territories.<\/p>\n

Gopal commented: \u201cThe French-speaking market remains an important and growing region for us, especially for U.K. and European drama, so it is crucial that our sales head is based in Paris to ensure we are ever closer to our broadcast and digital partners. Vincent has first-class relationships and a comprehensive knowledge of the local market, and is absolutely the right person to drive the distribution of ITV\u2019s portfolio of the very best global content spanning all genres across these territories.\u201d<\/p>\n
