{"id":7534,"date":"2017-03-29T11:57:01","date_gmt":"2017-03-29T15:57:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tveurope\/the-story-lab-inks-investment-deal-with-vertical-distribution\/"},"modified":"2017-03-29T13:43:32","modified_gmt":"2017-03-29T17:43:32","slug":"the-story-lab-inks-investment-deal-with-vertical-distribution","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tveurope\/2017\/03\/29\/the-story-lab-inks-investment-deal-with-vertical-distribution\/","title":{"rendered":"The Story Lab Inks Investment Deal with Vertical Distribution"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LONDON: The Story Lab has negotiated a distribution deal with Vertical Distribution (formerly Freeman Distribution) across Central and Eastern Europe.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement will see the release of four Hollywood studio films, including <em>John Wick: Chapter 2<\/em>, in CEE. <em>The Hitman\u2019s Bodyguard<\/em>, <em>American Assassin<\/em> and <em>Paddington 2<\/em> are also included in the co-investment deal to distribute the titles across Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia.<\/p>\n<p>This marks the second deal between the two companies; the first saw The Story Lab acquiring a significant share of the distribution rights for three films: <em>Criminal<\/em>, <em>Mechanic Resurrection<\/em> and <em>Expendables 4<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Norio Hayashi, executive director of The Story Lab, commented, \u201cWe are thrilled to be once again partnering with Vertical Distribution, working together to distribute four fantastic titles across these five countries.
