VIENNA: Telekom Austria Group has established A1 digital international, a new subsidiary that will focus on digital business areas.<\/p>\n
Elisabetta Castiglioni has been tapped as CEO of the new venture, which will be offering custom-tailored products and services in the area of digitalization. A1 digital will initially focus on two areas: solutions in IoT (Internet of Things), which will be expanded, and cloud-based ICT solutions, which build on existing data center capacities in Austria and the Telekom Austria Group\u2019s other markets. Internationally, the focus will be on Europe and will include the group\u2019s existing markets in CEE as well as new markets in Western Europe, in particular, Germany. The business in Germany will be managed by a separate company in the future based in Munich.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith Elisabetta Castiglioni we have gained a top manager who has a wealth of international experience and a proven track record in the telecommunications and technology industry,\u201d said Alejandro Plater, the CEO of Telekom Austria Group. \u201cWith her experience in growing new business areas and her deep knowledge of how global companies act, Elisabetta is the ideal candidate to drive the paradigm shift away from our traditional core business toward digitalization.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are not constrained by national borders\u00a0because our services and customers are not limited to any borders,\u201d Castiglioni continued, \u201cand from our base in Vienna we will be digitalizing both the Austrian and other regional markets.\u201d<\/p>\n
