{"id":7367,"date":"2017-02-02T12:23:40","date_gmt":"2017-02-02T17:23:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tveurope\/eurosport-boosts-cycling-coverage\/"},"modified":"2017-02-02T14:14:01","modified_gmt":"2017-02-02T19:14:01","slug":"eurosport-boosts-cycling-coverage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tveurope\/2017\/02\/02\/eurosport-boosts-cycling-coverage\/","title":{"rendered":"Eurosport Boosts Cycling Coverage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SINGAPORE: Eurosport has bolstered its commitment to cycling by securing exclusive and extended coverage for the Giro d\u2019Italia and additional races, bringing fans more than 200 days of live coverage of the sport this year.<\/p>\n<p>Eurosport will now bring fans the Giro d\u2019Italia and all major Italian cycling events exclusively until 2020. Eurosport has exclusive coverage across Australia and Europe, though within the home market of each race and in Asia, Eurosport holds non-exclusive rights. Within the home market of Italian races, rights are yet to be attributed. The deal excludes coverage in France. For the Giro d\u2019Italia, the new four-year agreement includes more coverage than ever before and four hours of every stage live. The agreement will take Eurosport\u2019s annual coverage of the Giro d\u2019Italia past the 20-year mark.<\/p>\n<p>The deal\u00a0follows a new long-term agreement\u00a0covering all major Italian races, Flanders Classics and a number of Tour events around the world. These races join a calendar of cycling events on Eurosport that includes all three of the Grand Tours and all five Monuments. Fans will have access to the first Grand Tour of the season and all major Italian races, including Il Lombardia and Milano-San Remo.<\/p>\n<p>Peter Hutton, the CEO of Eurosport, said, \u201cIf you\u2019re passionate about cycling, Eurosport remains the only place to be.
