{"id":7120,"date":"2016-10-11T13:51:05","date_gmt":"2016-10-11T17:51:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tveurope\/mipcom-spotlight-twofour-rights\/"},"modified":"2016-10-11T13:52:59","modified_gmt":"2016-10-11T17:52:59","slug":"mipcom-spotlight-twofour-rights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tveurope\/2016\/10\/11\/mipcom-spotlight-twofour-rights\/","title":{"rendered":"MIPCOM Spotlight: Twofour Rights"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CANNES:\u00a0Personal transformations, home makeovers and dating take center stage in Twofour Rights\u2019 formats slate.<\/p>\n<p><em>This Time Next Year<\/em> is a prime-time studio entertainment show highlighting a series of real-life transformations. \u201c<em>This Time Next Year<\/em> is the year\u2019s fastest-selling new format, already appealing to buyers all over the world,\u201d says Anthony Appell, the director of Twofour Rights. \u201cIt\u2019s wholesome, feel-good TV with such emotion in the transformations [and] it makes compelling viewing that works the world over.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Strip Date<\/em>, another MIPCOM highlight, is a dating show with a twist that tests modern preconceptions of beauty, image and attraction. Twofour is also showcasing <em>The Home Game<\/em>, which Appell says \u201cmakes over the makeover-show format, fast-forwarding to the big reveal of the new home and the all-important new price.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAcross the board, we\u2019re strong in the formats space, and believe in simple, feel-good formats with truly universal appeal,\u201d says Appell.<\/p>\n<p>Now in its third season, <em>Impossible Engineering<\/em> is one of Twofour Rights\u2019 factual highlights at MIPCOM. The hour-long episodes cover unique structures, from a polar research station to the International Space Station. The company is also promoting<em> Extraordinary Animals<\/em>, a title from Oxford Scientific Films for BBC One that delves into the behaviors of animals around the world. It uses \u201cbold experiments and brand-new camera technology,\u201d says Appell.<\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s slate also features <em>Born to Kill: A Class of Their Own<\/em>.
