LONDON: Gail Harman, most recently at Tuesday’s Child Television, has been named creative director of development at ITV Studios Entertainment, where Martin Lau joins the team as development executive.<\/p>\n
Harman joins Angela Jain\u2019s team to lead the creation of brand-new formats and entertainment shows for a U.K. and international audience. Harman was most recently at Tuesday\u2019s Child Television, where as head of development for entertainment her credits include You\u2019re Back in the Room<\/em> and For What It\u2019s Worth<\/em>.<\/p>\n Lau has been appointed to Harman\u2019s team as development executive. Previously, he was senior development producer at Tellycopter, NBCUniversal International Studios\u2019 central unscripted development unit.<\/p>\n Tom McLennan has been promoted to director of entertainment, North, taking responsibility for ITV Studios\u2019 slate of 800 hours of entertainment produced each year in the region, including Judge Rinder<\/em>, Countdown<\/em>, University Challenge<\/em>, The Jeremy Kyle Show<\/em> and You\u2019ve Been Framed<\/em>.<\/p>\n Jain, the managing director at ITV Studios Entertainment, said: \u201cThis is a terrific department with a phenomenal output. In Gail I believe we have found a creative thinker who can take charge of the next wave of new programs. We are genuinely excited about the impact she will have and look forward to welcoming her to the family.\u201d<\/p>\n She added: \u201cOur ITV Studios team in the North is very important to us and to signal the next wave of growth and leadership we have appointed Tom to an expanded role. His achievements are not just in launching new shows but also setting them up for long-term success. He has been a fantastic ambassador for the North, so this really is the natural next step for him.
